FIFA: Visa (payment solutions) extends as an official partner until the 2026 World Cup

Visa, an American group specialised in payment solutions, has extended as a "FIFA Partner", the highest level of partnership in the International Federation's hierarchy, until the 2026 World Cup to be played in the United States, Canada and Mexico, announced the body on 24/01/2024.

"Our alliance with FIFA has yielded immense benefits for our brand, clients, and cardholders, said Oliver Jenkyn, group president for global markets at Visa. As part of the agreement, the company based in San Francisco (California, USA) will remain the official payment technology partner of FIFA with the aim of "providing a seamless and secure commerce experience for FIFA's passionate fans on-site."

A FIFA partner since 2007, Visa's previous extension dates back to 14/01/2014, for an agreement covering the 2014-2022 cycle worth an estimated €15.5m per year. The group has committed $1.3bn (€1.2 billion) in marketing expenditure for 2023.
