In terms of the deal itself, it has options and the protections we seek in our general licensing deals, and with economics that we're super happy with globally. So, I would not look at this as a signal of any change to our sports strategy," said Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, during the presentation of the streaming platform's quarterly and annual results, on Tuesday 23/01/2024.

Netflix acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast WWE Raw events (held every Monday night) in several international territories from January 2025, on 23/01/2024. The contract will run for ten years and is worth a total of $5bn (€4.6bn), according to American press. The territories covered by the agreement are the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Latin America, as well as "other territories, with additional countries and regions to be added over time." Netflix will also broadcast all WWE shows and special programmes for territories outside the United States.
