Social media: ICC (cricket), FIFA & FIBA, the most followed international federations in 2023

With more than 106.519 million cumulative followers (on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and X) on 01/01/2024, the International Cricket Council is the most followed international sports federation on social media, according to a ranking drawn up by the communications agency BCW Sports and published on 31/01/2024.

The International Cricket Council is ahead of FIFA, with 56.836 million followers, and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA; 15.825 million). Only two other non-Olympic federations feature in the Top 10: the International Teqball Federation (7^th; 8.232 million followers) and the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (10^th; 4.583 million).

In terms of percentage growth, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) posted the biggest increase (+124%), ahead of FIBA (+41%), Volleyball World and World Rugby (+27% each).
