Handball: Daikin succeeds Liqui Moly as title sponsor of the German championship (2024-2026)

Daikin, a Japanese manufacturer of air conditioning systems, has extended its partnership with HBL GmbH, the organising body of the German men's handball championship (Handball Bundesliga), and acquired the naming rights for two seasons (2024-2026) on 31/01/2024.

Under the agreement, which is effective from 01/07/2024 and includes an option to extend for a further three seasons (2026-2029), the competition will be known as the "Daikin Handball Bundesliga". The partnership was negotiated by the Sportfive agency.

Until now, Daikin had the status of official partner (4^th level) of the Handball Bundesliga. Under the new contract, the company will display "a composite logo" combining its brand with that of the Handball Bundesliga on the sleeve of the uniforms of the players and staff of the 18 clubs taking part in the championship, and will benefit from visibility on the court and on the LED screen cubes in the halls hosting the games.
