Bundesliga: HEK (health insurance) will be a partner of the Hamburger SV from 2015-16 to 2017-18

HEK (Hanseatische Krankenkasse), a health insurance company based in Hamburg (GER), will become a partner of Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) for the 2015-16 and 2017-18 seasons, the club announced on 14/01/2015. The partnership was signed with the marketing agency of the club, Sportfive Germany.

"Together with the HSV we would like to draw attention to the increasingly important issue of health prevention as well as increasing our brand awareness. We have planned a variety of actions with HSV which are meant to give the fans a healthy lifestyle through sports and healthy diet," said Jens Luther, the CEO of HEK. His company wants to be particularly visible at Hamburger SV's training centre.

• The association Hamburger Sport-Verein eV and its HSV Sport AG subsidiary achieved a turnover of €145.37m in 2012-13, and recorded a net loss of €9.8m.
• The total debt of the group amounted to €99.58m on 30/06/2013.
