Wolverhampton Wanderers FC: club's first sustainability report published

Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (Premier League) published its first environmental sustainability report, compiling data from the 2022-23 season, on 30/01/2024. This publication comes a year after the launch of "One Pack, One Planet", the club's environmental project.

"Wolves' latest carbon footprint data, shared within the environmental sustainability report, shows that the club's highest emissions are caused by fan travel," explained the club.

Key figures include:
• 88% of the club's carbon emissions are linked to fan travel;
• 71% of Wolves fans travel to home games by car;
• in 2022-23, the men's first team travelled 15 times by bus, six times by train, five times by domestic flight and three times by international flight;
• the switch to electricity generated from renewable sources in 2021-22 at the stadium and training centre has enabled the club to halve its energy-related carbon emissions in 2022-23.

In 2024, the club intends to improve and extend the measurement of its carbon footprint and develop a plan to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.
