Parc des Princes: "Adaptation of the stadium to PSG's needs without its sale" (Ville de Paris)

• "That it be reaffirmed that the Parc des Princes belongs to the Ville de Paris (City of Paris);
• That the adaptation of the stadium to PSG's needs be carried out as part of a package that satisfies all parties but does not involve its sale;
• That the extension work be carried out without any funding from the City of Paris, other than that relating to the owner."

These are the wishes expressed by Paris City Hall and adopted (with 64 votes in favour and 86 abstentions) by the Council of Paris on 06/02/2024 concerning the stadium where Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) plays its home matches, under the terms of an occupancy agreement signed with the municipality in December 2013 and which runs until 2044.

These wishes were validated in view of the "desire of the owner of Paris Saint-Germain to acquire the stadium" and the formulation of "proposals to PSG that would enable the Ville de Paris to retain ownership of the stadium while at the same time carrying out work to modernise it".
