Saudi Arabia: adidas succeeds Nike as equipment supplier of Al Nassr FC for 3 seasons (2024-2027)

adidas has become the official equipment supplier of Al Nassr FC (Roshn Saudi League) for three seasons (2024-2027), announced the Saudi club on 07/02/2024.

The German brand succeeds American equipment manufacturer Nike, which supplied the club's kit for the 2023-24 season. This is Al Nassr's third change of equipment supplier in three seasons: Nike had replaced the Saudi brand Duneus, which supplied the club's kit in 2022-23.

adidas is thus strengthening its presence in Saudi Arabia, a few days after signing a "strategic partnership" with Saudi events company Sela, owned by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF), on 02/02/2024. As part of the agreement, adidas and Sela will "explore opportunities across retail and brand activation with adidas, as well as consider broader areas such as sponsorships, events, grassroots programmes and collaborative content," explained the two brands.
