Paris SG: "We wasted years trying to buy the Parc des Princes. We want to move" (Nasser Al-Khelaïfi)

"It's too easy to say now that the stadium is no longer for sale. We know what we want, we wasted years trying to buy the Parc des Princes. That's over now. We want to move away from the Parc," said Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), on the occasion of the 48th UEFA Congress, which he is attending in Paris (FRA) on 08/02/2024.

The chairman of the European Club Association, who has just been re-elected as its representative on the UEFA executive committee until 2028, reacted to the adoption by the Council of Paris of a number of wishes concerning the stadium, starting with the reaffirmation that it belongs to the Ville de Paris and the desire to adapt "the stadium to the needs of PSG within the framework of a package that satisfies all parties but does not imply its sale". Paris SG currently plays its home games at the Parc des Princes under an occupancy agreement signed with the city council in December 2013, which runs until 2044.
