China: Sevilla FC, European club with the best growth on the social network Weibo (+64%) in 2023

Sevilla FC (LALIGA EA Sports) is the fastest-growing European club on the Chinese social network Weibo in 2023, with 501,076 new followers (+64%), announced the club on 08/02/2024. These new fans bring Sevilla FC's total number of followers on the social network to nearly 1.3 million at the start of 2024.

"We continue to reap the rewards of our firm commitment to the internationalisation of the club, ahead of clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur FC, AS Roma, Real Madrid CF, Villarreal CF, AS Monaco FC, Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund," said the Andalusian club, which posted a 117% growth on Weibo between 2022 and 2024.

"Our growth can also be explained thanks to a strategy based on local content with nods to local culture and customs, collaborations with local influencers and the production of live programmes with native presenters," explained Sevilla FC.
