OL Groupe: sale of a majority stake (52.91%) in OL Féminin to Michele Kang finalised

The sale of 52.91% of the share capital and voting rights of OL Féminin (D1 Arkema) by OL Groupe to American businesswoman Michele Kang, via her company YMK Holdings, has been finalised, announced the two parties on 08/02/2024.

Michele Kang was appointed president of "OLF" on 19/12/2023 and Vincent Ponsot has been CEO since 03/01/2024. "The OL group will benefit from minority representation on OLF's board of directors," said the company that owns Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats).

"This transaction follows the agreement reached on 16/05/2023 between OL Groupe and Michele Kang, the parties wishing to favour a direct investment by Michele Kang within OLF, replacing a common investment in a global multi-team platform as initially envisaged," said the group. The businesswoman, who already owns the Washington Spirits NWSL franchise via YMK Holdings, also acquired the London City Lionesses (Barclays Women's Championship, D2) in December 2023.
