TotalEnergies AFCON 2023 Final: head-to-head Nigeria - Ivory Coast, Sunday 11/02/2024 at 21:00 CET

Nigeria (NFF) had 4.4 million followers on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & X) on 08/02/2024, 5.8 times as many as the Ivory Coast (FIF) and its 764,000 followers, as the two teams prepare to face each other in the final of the TotalEnergies AFCON 2023 at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara in Abidjan (Ivory Coast, 60,000 capacity) on Sunday 11/02/2024 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

Ivory Coast, the host country of the competition which it has already won in 1992 and 2015, has been equipped by the German brand Puma since 2005. Rivals Nigeria, three-time winners of the AFCON (in 1980, 1994 and 2013), wear kit supplied by Nike (USA) under a partnership signed in 2015 that runs until 2026.

As part of the FIFA Forward programme run by the world body over the 2016-2022 cycle, the Fédération Ivoirienne de Football has received €6.7m, compared with €8m for the Nigeria Football Federation over the same period. These funds were allocated to renovating pitches in both countries.
