NFL: first regular season game to be played in Spain at Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu in 2025

The National Football League will stage a 2025 regular season game at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid, Spain) home of Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports), announced both parties on 09/02/2024. This will be the NFL's first game in the country (excluding pre-season).

"Madrid is the first new market to be confirmed for the 2025 International Games and will be the fourth European city to host a regular season game (London, Frankfurt, Munich)," said the League. The event will be organised in partnership with Real Madrid, owners of the 84,744-seat stadium, as well as the city council, the Autonomous Community of Madrid, the government and the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD).

Since the expansion of the NFL calendar in 2021, four teams have been able to play an International Game at a neutral venue each year. In 2023, the franchises voted to increase the number of International Games held from four to eight per season, starting in 2025.
