Asics: a turnover of €3.6bn (+17.7%) in 2023, including a record €920m in the EMEA market

The Asics group posted a turnover of ¥570.4bn (€3.6bn) in fiscal year 2023 (01/01 to 31/12/2023), up 17.7% on fiscal year 2022 (¥484.6bn/€3.4bn), announced the Japanese equipment manufacturer on 09/02/2024.

Asics posted an operating profit of ¥54.2bn over the period (€347m), 59.4% higher than in the previous financial year. The brand reported a net profit of ¥35.2bn (€226m) in 2023 (up 77.4% on 2022).

The EMEA region posted its highest ever turnover, with profits of €920m (+13.7% vs 2022), making it Asics' largest market ahead of North America (¥114.6bn/€735m) and Japan (¥84.7bn/€543m).

In terms of segments, running remains Asics' main source of revenue with sales of ¥285bn (€1.8bn; +27.7% vs 2022), representing half (49.9%) of the manufacturer's turnover in 2023. The 'Performance Sports' category (which includes tennis, football and indoor sports) is in second place, with ¥72.1bn (€462m) in revenue, ahead of the lifestyle brand Onitsuka Tiger (¥60.3bn/€387m).
