Cycling: LALIGA sponsor of the best foreign rider's jersey for the 2024 edition of the Tour Colombia

LALIGA, the Spanish professional football league, has become a partner of the Colombian Cycling Federation and sponsor of the jersey awarded to the best foreign rider in the 2024 edition of the Tour Colombia (run from 06 to 11/02/2024).

Each stage of the fourth edition of this event, which is part of the UCI America Tour, saw the leading foreign rider in the overall classification wear a red jersey emblazoned with the LALIGA crest on the chest. The Spanish League was also present at the competition, with fan activations at the start and finish of all six stages.

LALIGA, which organised a cycling race in Colombia in 2021 attended by over 900 fans, is stepping up its presence in the South American country, having also opened an academy in Bogota in February 2024, its first on the continent.

In 2018, LALIGA had previously entered into a partnership outside football, becoming an official partner of Renault Sport Formula 1 Team (now named BWT Alpine F1 Team). The agreement included visibility on the Formula 1 team's single-seaters as well as on the racing suits of its two drivers at the…
