FIGC: partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Football for the training of players & coaches

The Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio and the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF) have signed a partnership agreement aimed at training Ukrainian players and coaches in Italy, announced the two organisations on 13/02/2024.

The agreement was signed by FIGC president Gabriele Gravina and Andriy Shevchenko, who was elected UAF president in January 2024, on the occasion of the 48^th UEFA Congress in Paris (FRA) on 08/02/2024. As part of this cooperation, training courses will be organised at the Coverciano Federal Technical Centre (near Florence, Tuscany, ITA) as well as at the Italian Federation's other facilities.

"The aim is to offer Ukrainian footballers and coaches an adequate technical education, despite the continuing conflict with Russia, in order to help realise a human and professional path that offers them hope and new opportunities," explained the FIGC.
