TF1 Group: a turnover of €2.296bn (-8.4%) & net profit of €191.1m (+9%) in 2023

TF1 posted a turnover of €2.296bn in 2023, down 8.4% on 2022 (€211m; €2.507bn), according to the results published by the privately-owned free-TV group on 15/02/2024.

"In 2023, the TF1 Group gained audience share across all segments. The TF1 channel strengthened its audience leadership by offering powerful event programming throughout the year. It recorded 28 of the 30 highest ratings of 2023 and at least 8 of the 10 highest ratings for each of the programme genres (French drama, sport, entertainment, news and cinema). The Rugby World Cup 2023 posted record audiences, with France's quarter-final in particular being watched by 16.5 million viewers, the highest audience of the year," explained the group.

Operating profit was €253.2m (down €48m on 2022, or 15.9%) and net profit €191.9m (up €15.8m on 2022, or 9%). The latter "benefits from the closure of Salto". The streaming platform was officially shut down by the TF1, M6 and France Télévisions groups on 15/02/2023.
