Bundesliga International: a partnership with Street FC to promote German football in the USA

Bundesliga International, the body responsible for promoting the German league abroad, has entered into a partnership with Street FC, a five-a-side pitch operator in the USA, to "deliver more opportunities for recreational football players throughout the United States, while also creating additional chances for fans to engage with their favourite Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga 2 clubs," announced the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL) on 13/02/2024.

"Bundesliga International will work with Street FC to formulate a roadmap of events for rest of the season, incorporating Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs, partners of the league, and local fans," explained the DFL, which will be relying in particular on a pitch in New York that has been renovated as part of its "Bundesliga Common Ground" initiative (see further reading section). Present in Baltimore, Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, San Diego, Atlanta, Austin and now New York, Street FC organises 400 football matches a month, accessible to all by booking on a dedicated app.
