BasicNet (Kappa): a turnover of €396.8m (+2.7%) & an EBITDA of €58.1m (-4.6%) in 2023

BasicNet, an Italian distributor and parent company of equipment manufacturer Kappa, has posted a turnover of €396.8m for the 2023 financial year (01/01 to 31/12/2023), up 2.7% on 2022 (€386.1m), according to the group on 13/02/2024.

The Group's own direct sales amounted to €332.8m (+6.4% versus 2022), or 83.8% of turnover, while royalties from licensed distributors (€62.3m; -13.9%) accounted for 15.7%. Group EBITDA was €58.1m, down 4.6% on the previous year (€60.9m). Lastly, the company's net debt remained stable at €92.6m in 2023, compared with €93.7m the previous year.

Total sales generated by the Group's licensees over the period amounted to €1.14bn, down 10.4% on 2022 (€1.27bn), of which €820m came from commercial licences (71.9%) and €321m from production licences (28.1%).
