FC Girondins de Bordeaux: launch of the "G-CLUB" a Web3 platform & the sale of NFTs

FC Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 2 BKT) is offering its supporters a fan experience with the launch of a "community platform" called "G-CLUB" based on Web3 technology, announced the club on 14/02/2024.

Users will be able to register on this platform, which is designed as a "digital club", from 24/02/2024. From 26/02/2024, the club will offer 20 "G-PASSes" for sale at a price of €200 each. These "secure and personalised digital passes" (NFTs) will enable their holders to enjoy a range of experiences, including access to an "exclusive social group", the chance to experience a match from the sidelines, an invitation to a "Millésime" (local partners' club) evening in the presence of the professional teams and participation in an esports session.

"The fact that this pass is an NFT means that members can buy and then exchange this pass if they wish, and can be easily identified by the club's partners to benefit from exclusive advantages in the long term," explained Clément Foucher, co-founder of Meta.Vrs, the studio responsible for developing the "G-CLUB" platform.
