Brentford FC: a record turnover of £166.5m (+18%) & net profit of £10.9m in 2022-23

Brentford FC (Premier League) has posted a record turnover of £166.5m (€193m) for the 2022-23 financial year (01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), up 18% on 2021-22 (£140.9m/€163.3m), announced the English club on 14/02/2024. This is a second consecutive record for the club in terms of turnover since its promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22.

The majority of the club's revenue comes from TV rights (£135.1m/€156.6m compared with £114.9m/€133.1m in 2021-22), which accounts for 81.2% of the total. Commercial revenues also increased to £18.9m (€21.9m), up 26.2% on the previous year (£15m/€17.3m). Matchday revenues, at £11.3m (€13m), were also up (+8% versus 2021-22).

Brentford also posted an operating profit (excluding transfers) of £4.4m (€5.1m) in 2022-23, down on the previous financial year (£25.1m/€29m). The club's net profit was £10.9m (€12.6m), also lower than in 2021-22 (£25.7m/€29.8m).
