SL Benfica: a strategic partnership with FC Dallas (MLS) focused on training young talents

SL Benfica (Liga Portugal Betclic) and FC Dallas (MLS) have signed a partnership that aims to develop talent from their respective academies in order to offer trained players a privileged route to the first team in both the United States and Portugal, announced the two clubs on 14/02/2024.

The two clubs "will collaborate to exchange coaching expertise that will allow young, talented players to experience different playing styles and cultures to enhance their personal and professional development."

"The United States is a strategic market for Benfica's growth strategy. Soccer has been the fastest-growing sport among young people in the US and Benfica has been very actively looking for opportunities for the last two years. We believe this partnership will help us increase our presence in the US.
