Club Atlético de Madrid: a turnover of €357.7m (-5%) and net loss of €0.36m in 2022-23

Club Atlético de Madrid (LALIGA EA Sports) posted a turnover of €357.7m for the financial year 2022-23 (01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), down 5,3% compared to 2021-22 (€377.7m), according to accounts published on the Spanish club's website on February 2024.

This decrease is mainly due to the lower competitions-related revenues, which fell from €111.4m in 2022 to €75.8m in 2023. The club, which reached the 2021-22 Champions League quarter finals, received €98m from UEFA in this regard, compared to only €63.5m in 2022-23 after being eliminated in the group stage. However, commercial and advertising revenues are up to €113.1m in 2023 versus €91.2m in 2022.

Atlético Madrid's wage bill was €244.9m in 2022-23, a slight increase on the previous season (€254.2m). Finally, the club posted a net benefit of €0.359m in 2023, compared to a net loss of €22.6m in 2022.
