LFP-CVC-Le Havre AC agreement: start of proceedings based on merits before Paris Court

"Proceedings on the merits began today before the Paris Court of First Instance, and the judge will rule in the coming weeks on Le Havre AC's (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) claims," announced the club on 26/02/2024 regarding the dispute between it and the Ligue de Football Professionnel over the distribution of sums paid by the Luxembourg investment fund CVC Capital Partners to French professional clubs.

In an order handed down on 16/01/2024, the interim relief judge of the Paris Court of First Instance ruled that he did not have jurisdiction, considering that Le Havre should have turned to the administrative court.

Le Havre AC, which was promoted to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats in 2023, believes it has been wronged by the agreement between the LFP and CVC, which provides for a €1.5bn investment in French professional football in exchange for a 13% stake in the commercial company set up in July 2022 and since named "LFP Media".
