Puma: a turnover of €8.601bn (+6.6%) & net profit of €304.9m (-13.7%) in 2023

Puma has posted a record turnover of €8.601bn for the 2023 financial year (ended 31/12/2023), up 6.6% compared to 2022 (€8.465bn), according to the German equipment manufacturer on 27/02/2024.

The brand's net profit amounted to €304.9m over the period, compared to €354m the previous year (-13.7%). Finally, operating profit (EBIT) amounted to €621.6m in 2023, compared to €640.4m in 2022, a decrease of 3%.

All these figures have been "exceptionally" impacted by the fall in the price of the Argentinian perso (-54% in December 2023), without which Puma would have recorded an operating result (EBIT) higher than the previous financial year and "currency adjusted sales growth of around 8%".

In this sense, the Americas are the only geographic market in which the German brand did not record an increase in sales in 2023 (€3.389bn; -2.4% vs 2022). By contrast, the EMEA region has become Puma's largest market, with revenues of €3.418bn over the year (+13.4% vs. 2022).
