Arsenal FC: a turnover of £465.2m (+25.6%) & net loss of £52.1m in 2022-23

Arsenal FC (Premier League) posted a turnover of £465.2m (€537.6m as of 31/05/2023) during the 2023 financial year (from 01/06/2022 to 31/05/2023), up 25.6% compared to 2022 (£369.1m/€433.5 as of 31/05/2022), announced the club on 26/02/2024.

"Broadcasting revenues rose to £191.2m (€221m, £146.0m in 2022). The reason for this was twofold: the inclusion of UEFA broadcasting revenue (Europa League Round of 16) and the strong Premier League performance (Arsenal finished 2^nd) translating into higher merit award and live coverage facility fees," explained the club.

The London club's return to European competition "meant there were 24 home fixtures and matchday revenue was £102.6m (€118.6m) compared to £79.4m (€93.2m) in the prior year. This is the first time matchday revenue has returned to more than £100m since the 2014-15 season," said Arsenal. Meanwhile "commercial revenues were significantly improved to £169.3m (€195.6m, +19.5%). The club has launched a new commercial strategy delivering particularly strong results from its retail operations during 2022-23."
