Paris 2024 Paralympics: a record number of broadcasters (160+ countries) 6 months before the event

"A record number of broadcasters from around the world" have committed to the IPC to broadcast the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games (held from 28/08 to 08/09/2024) "in more than 160 countries and territories with just six months to go," announced the COJOP on 28/02/2024.

"In addition to greater interest from broadcasters, the overall revenue raised from media rights sales has increased by more than 20% compared to Tokyo 2020 (held in 2021 due to Covid-19), a Games which were shown in 154 countries and territories to a cumulative 4.1 billion viewers," explained the organising committee.

"Our objective between now and the opening of the Games is to engage and secure even more media rights holders," said John Lisko, managing director of IPC global media rights.

In France, the Paralympic Games will be broadcast exclusively on the channels of the public broadcasting group France Télévisions. British public broadcaster Channel 4 will broadcast the event in the UK, while Swiss media rights and marketing agency Infront, which holds media rights for the event in 51 European countries (excluding…
