FIFA: publication of the "Professional Football Report 2023" - a look at the 211 member associations

Players, clubs, competitions (first division in particular) and transfers: these are the four main areas examined in each of FIFA's 211 member associations in the "Professional Football Report 2023" published by the world governing body on 04/03/2024 (document available to download below).

The 260-page report "gives a detailed picture of men's club football in each member association, and in a new approach adopted this year, provides various comparative statistics both at global and confederation level," explained FIFA.

The international federation has also launched the "Professional Football Landscape" online database (link below): "an encyclopaedic online database to encourage clubs to seek out best practice from around the world. The database also includes a countdown of the different transfer windows around the globe, providing more clarity on the dates surrounding the international movement of players."
