With a turnover of €843m for the 2022-23 financial year (from 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) posted revenues excluding transfers 2.4 times higher than those of RB Leipzig (Bundesliga) over the same period (€354m), as the two clubs prepare to meet each other in the second leg of their 2023-24 Champions League Round of 16 (1-0 to the Spanish club in the first leg) at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid, ESP) on Wednesday 06/03/2024 (kick-off at 21:00 CET). In 2022-23, the Madrid club's wage bill amounted to €408m, just over double that of their German opponents (€192m).
