Canal+ Group: a turnover of €6.058bn in 2023 (+290,000 subscribers in France in one year)

The pay-TV and free-to-air group Canal+ posted a turnover of €6.058bn in 2023, up 3.2% on 2022 (€5.870bn, +2.9% at constant currency and perimeter), according to results published by Vivendi, the telecommunications and media conglomerate and parent company of Canal+, on 07/03/2024.

"At year-end 2023, Canal+ Group's total subscriber portfolio (individual and collective) reached 26.4 million,compared to 25.5 million at the year-end 2022," said Vivendi. Canal+ Group's EBITA stood at €525m, up 2% (+1.3% at constant currency and perimeter) from €515m in 2022.

Television turnover in mainland France amounted to €3.223bn in 2023, up 3.3% on 2022 (€3.119bn). "The total subscriber portfolio in mainland France recorded a net growth of 290,000 subscribers over the past twelve months, reaching 9.8 million subscribers," added the Group.

  • Vivendi posted a turnover of €10.51bn in 2023, up 9.5% compared with 2022 (€9.595bn, +2.6% at constant currency and perimeter).
  • Canal+ Group turnover accounts for 57.6% of Vivendi's turnover in 2023.
