Premier League: West Ham United negotiating to replace their bankrupt shirt sponsor Alpari (trading)

"The club (West Ham United FC, Barclays Premier League) has received huge interest and is already in advanced discussions with potential new shirt sponsors for next year," said the club on 16/01/2015.

The club wants to replace the UK trading company Alpari, its shirt sponsor in 2014-15. Alpari, linked to the club since 2011, was declared insolvent following the decision of the SNB (Swiss National Bank) to abandon the low conversion rate of the Swiss franc on 15/01/2015. Founded in 2004, the company employs 170 people in London and is part of the Alpari Group, and allows customers to access -- through its platforms -- the foreign exchange market and various other derivative financial products.

Alpari has been visible on the Hammers shirt since the 2013-14 season. The contract is valued at €3.8m per year.
