LFP/CVC deal: "It was completely overlooked that Le Havre could move up to Ligue 1" (J-M. Roussier)

"When the allocation (of sums paid to clubs after the creation of a commercial company) was defined, it was completely overlooked that Le Havre AC could move up to Ligue 1. In general, an oversight can be rectified. But we are before the Tribunal because the League is absolutely unwilling to rectify this oversight. Le Havre should at least have received the same treatment and the same amount of money as a club on its way up. But we got €1.5m, while those who stayed in Ligue 2 got €3m, and those in Ligue 1 at least €33m, and up to €200m for Paris Saint-Germain. It's colossal, and an absolute scandal. Le Havre is no longer a Ligue 2 club, but it's not considered a Ligue 1 club either," said Jean-Michel Roussier, president of Le Havre AC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), to News Tank Football on 12/03/2024.
