LFP: launch of "Coach Ligue 1" the first fantasy league developed & owned by a professional league

The Ligue de Football Professionnel has launched "Coach Ligue 1", a fantasy league based on the exchange of virtual cards and dedicated to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats & Ligue 2 BKT, announced the body on 14/03/2024.

The platform has been developed using the Unagi blockchain (behind the Ultimate Champions multi-sport fantasy game) and the Chiliz blockchain (owner of Socios.com). This is the first fantasy league "to be developed and to belong to a football league at the global level," according the LFP.

"This project is part of a new digital cycle for the LFP," added the body, which officially acquired the French fantasy league Mon Petit Gazon (MPG) on 12/10/2022. "Other major projects will be launched in 2024 to complete the new digital ecosystem designed for the 2024-2029 cycle," said Martin Jaglin, co-founder of MPG and digital growth director at LFP Media.
