Altice France: "exclusive negotiations" with CMA CGM for the sale of Altice Média (€1.55bn)

Altice France has entered into "exclusive negotiations" with the CMA CGM group and its holding company Merit France for the sale of 100% of its subsidiary Altice Media, announced the French telecommunications and media group and the shipping company on 15/03/2024. The transaction would value Altice Media at €1.55bn.

CMA CGM would acquire 80% of Altice Media, while Merit France would own 20%. Altice Media, which posted a turnover of €362m in 2023, brings together several of the Altice Group's television and radio brands, including RMC Sport (pay-TV), RMC Story, RMC Découverte and BFM TV (free DTT channels) as well as RMC Info Talk Sport and BFM Radio (radio). "Altice Media combines very high quality national, international, economic, regional and sports news with a wealth of documentaries and entertainment".
