2024-25 European Cups: detailed plan for distributing revenue to clubs (UEFA circular No. 13/2024)

UEFA has published the detailed plan for the distribution of revenues from the 2024-25 editions of the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, as well as the European Super Cup 2024, to clubs, in its circular No. 13/2024 dated 22/03/2024.

"The gross revenue threshold is defined to be €4.4bn. However, given the current context, the continued high volatility of exchange rates and the unstable global economic situation we encourage all clubs to adopt a prudent approach when budgeting for their anticipated income. Final distributions will be based on payments actually received by UEFA," explained the European body.

New European Cup formats will be introduced in 2024-25, the first season of the 2024-2027 cycle. The group stages will be replaced by "league phases", during which each club must first face eight different opponents (six in the Europa League Conference, now called the "Conference League" following a decision by UEFA on 04/03/2024).
