Sport Unlimitech: "Production is the number one problem for rights holders" (A. Caron, Sportall)

"Production is the number one problem for sports rights holders today. This is essentially linked to cost. A large production can cost tens of thousands of euros, whereas a smaller, 'smarter' production can cost a few thousand euros. That changes everything. You can then have several events over the year and create events for fans," said Arnaud Caron, managing director and co-founder of the multi-sport streaming platform and OTT service provider Sportall, on 26/03/2024.

Caron took part in the Sport Unlimitech Rennes 2024 round table discussion on "How tech is transforming sports broadcasting", alongside Alexandre Augereau, commercial director for France and Benelux at Haivision, a company specialised in the development of video streaming technology.

"2024 is a very busy year with the Paris 2024 Games, as well as Euro 2024. We're working with Orange Events on the Games for private 5G experiences at certain venues. This gives us a lot of impetus in our research, since private 5G is in strong competition with existing networks," said Alexandre Augereau.
