Russia: Federation to use FIFA funds to pay national team manager Fabio Capello

"Funding came from FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) on 18/01/2015, and we will use it to pay part of what we owe to Fabio Capello (manager of the Russia national team since 2012)," said Nikolai Tolstikh, president of the RFU (Russian Football Federation), on 20/01/2015.

19/01/2015 was the deadline set in December 2014 by the Russian Labour Inspectorate for Fabio Capello, who has not been paid since June 2014, to receive his wage arrears, which could reach, according to local media, around €9m or €10m.
