NFL/USA: Amazon & Peacock (NBCUniversal) to exclusively stream 2 games in 2024

The US e-commerce group Amazon and the US media and entertainment conglomerate NBCUniversal have each acquired the exclusive streaming rights to an NFL game for the 2024 season in the United States, announced the National Football League on 27/03/2024.

NBCUniversal will exclusively stream, via its Peacock streaming platform, the regular season Week 1 game played in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Friday, 06/09/2024. This will be the first NFL regular season game to be held in South America. "The Philadelphia Eagles are the first team to be announced for the game, with their opponent and kickoff time to be determined later," said the NFL.

Amazon will broadcast an NFL playoff game via its Prime Video platform. This will be the second time that a North American League playoff game has been broadcast exclusively via streaming in the United States. NBCUniversal acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast a playoff game for the 2023 season as part of a one-year contract with the NFL on 15/05/2023.
