Premier League: partnership with Rezzil for the development of a virtual reality game

Rezzil, a Manchester-based British virtual reality software developer, has partnered with the Premier League to create a virtual reality (VR) game, announced the League on 27/03/2024.

The four-year partnership will see the development of a VR game to be launched during 2024. "The game will place users on the pitch and in the boots of their favourite Premier League players, offering fans a unique opportunity to recreate iconic Premier League goals and moments from within the perspective of virtual reality," explained the English league.

"Rezzil are specialists in the production of sports gaming software for athlete training and game analysis within virtual reality. Rezzil applications are widely used in professional football and by many Premier League clubs as well as other leagues and sports,: said the Premier League.

As part of the agreement, the Premier League has also become a minority shareholder in Rezzil.
