The DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga, the German Professional Football League) published its 2015 economic and financial report, the 22/01/2015. The document analyses the revenues and expenses accrued by the 36 clubs in the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga (German first and second divisions).

The 18 Bundesliga clubs combined for a record €2.45bn in revenue in 2013-14, an increase of 12.9% compared to 2012-13 (€2.17bn). This is the 10th consecutive season of rising revenue in the Bundesliga. Between 2003-04 (€1.09bn) and 2013-14 (€2.45bn), the revenue of the German first division has multiplied by 2.25, or an average annual growth rate of 8.4% over 10 years.
