Eagle Football Group: Michael Gerlinger (ex-FC Bayern Munich) appointed chief sports officer

Michael Gerlinger, director of legal affairs and then vice-president of sporting affairs and competitions at FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) between 2005 and September 2023, has been appointed chief sports officer of Eagle Football Group, announced the American company on 29/03/2024.

"Gerlinger will be responsible for the management and operation of all football clubs in the Eagle Football family, including Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats), Botafogo (Campeonato Brasileiro Série A), and RWDM Molenbeek (Jupiler Pro League). Gerlinger will also support John Textor in his role as a director of Crystal Palace FC (Premier League), where Eagle Football remains a leading shareholder," explained the company.
