Everton FC: a turnover of £172.2m (-4.8%) & loss of £89.1m in 2022-23

Everton FC (Premier League) posted a turnover of £172.2m (€199.6m) at the end of the 2022-23 season (01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), down 4.8% on 2021-22 (£181m), announced the club on 31/03/2024.

While matchday and TV rights revenues have increased slightly, sponsorship, advertising and merchandising revenues fell from £35m in 2021-22 to £19.2m (€22.2m) in 2022-23. "Partnership income was significantly impacted by factors outside the club's control through the loss of £20m of contracted income because of the indefinitely suspended deals with USM, Megafon and Yota. Due to the nature of the suspension, the club was unable to replace the partnership income against these deals," said Everton FC. The club announced the suspension of its partnerships with these three Russian companies in March 2022, just days after the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The construction of the new stadium has also had an impact on the club's financial results, with the associated investment costs (£210.9m/€244m) contributing to an increase in Everton's net debt to £330.6m (€383.2m), up 133% on the 2022…
