Bundesliga: record cumulative revenue (€2.45bn) in 2013-14, the 10^th consecutive year of growth

The 18 Bundesliga clubs combined for the record amount of €2.45bn in revenue in 2013-14, an increase of 12.9% compared to 2012-13 (€2.17bn), stated the 2015 Bundesliga annual report, entitled "The Economic State of German Professional Football", and published by the DFL (Deutsche Fußball Liga, the German Professional Football League) on 22/01/2015. The document analyses the revenues and expenses accrued by the 36 clubs in the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga (German first and second divisions).

For the 10^th consecutive season, the cumulative turnover by 18 clubs in the Bundesliga has increased. Between 2003-04 (€1.09bn) and 2013-14 (€2.45bn), the revenue of the German first division has multiplied by 2.25, or an average annual growth rate of 8.4% over 10 years. 13 of the 18 Bundesliga clubs generated a net income in 2013-14 (for a cumulative value of €38.8m), more than the cumulative net income in 2012-13 (€62.6m).
