Decathlon: a turnover of €15.6bn (+4.4%) & net profit stable at €931m in 2023

Decathlon posted a turnover of €15.6bn in 2023, up 4.4% at constant currency and perimeter compared with 2022 (€15.4bn), announced the French sporting goods design, production and distribution group on 04/04/2024. Online sales accounted for 17.4% of this result (i.e. around €2.75bn).

The Group's net profit was €931m in 2023, compared with €923m in 2022 (+0.7%).
• Decathlon is present in 78 territories through 1,750 shops, and employs "nearly 101,000" people, 46.1% of whom are women.
• The group, which aims to reduce its carbon emissions by 20% by 2026 (compared with 2021) and by 42% by 2030, generated €420m in revenue from circular sales, and "39% of products sold benefited from an ecodesigned approach (23% in 2022)," said Decathlon.

The brand also unveiled its new purpose, “Move People Through the Wonders of Sport”, as well as a new logo, a new visual identity and a new associated brand strategy, 03/12/2024 (see below).
