Premier League: 19.3% of workforce from ethnically diverse backgrounds in 2024, versus 12% in 2021

"19.3% of Premier League workforce are from ethnically diverse backgrounds (in 2024), up from 12% in 2021," announced the English League on 05/04/2024in its progress update after three years of implementing its "No Room For Racism" action plan.

The "three-year update shows progress being made to increase diversity across the game and reinforces the League's commitment to tackling discrimination and supporting those who are subjected to racist abuse," explained the Premier League, while a new phase of the No Room For Racism operation is being deployed at all matches in the English league between 06 and 15/04/2024.

To mark the occasion, the clubs and the League will be communicating on social networks and in stadiums. Players will also kneel on the ground at the start of certain matches.

Other highlights of the No Room For Racism action plan after three years include:
• more than 19,000 schools have received teaching resources linked to this anti-racism campaign;
• 88% of those who took part in the coaching courses offered by the League now work for clubs.
