AS Nancy-Lorraine: death of club president Nicolas Holveck (ex-Stade Rennais FC)

"It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our president Nicolas Holveck (aged 52). He fought until the end against illness and on behalf of the whole club, from shareholders to members, we offer his family and friends our most sincere condolences. A tribute will be paid to him in consultation with his family," said AS Nancy-Lorraine (National 1) on 08/04/2024.

In May 2022, the man who had been executive president and CEO of Stade Rennais FC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) since March 2020 stepped down temporarily after announcing that he was suffering from cancer in March 2021. He was then replaced by Olivier Cloarec, before leaving the Breton club in August 2023 to return to AS Nancy-Lorraine, where he had previously worked from 1997 to 2014.
