Instagram: Real Madrid and Barcelona lead in followers, and Paris Saint-German passes 1 million mark

Real Madrid CF (Liga BBVA), with 6.2 million, and FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA), with 6.1 million, lead all European clubs in Instagram followers on 23/01/2015. Only eight European clubs have surpassed 1 million followers on the photo-sharing social network as of January 2015.

The other clubs with over 1 million Instagram followers are Manchester United FC (Barclays Premier League, 2.5 million followers), Chelsea FC (Premier League, 1.7 million), FC Bayern Munich (Bundelisga, 1.6 million), Arsenal FC (Premier League, 1.5 million), Liverpool FC (Premier League, 1.1m), and Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1, 1 million) -- which just announced it had passed the 1 million mark on 22/01/2015.
