Champions League: each of the quarter-finalists to receive €73m-€89m minimum (excluding market pool)

The eight clubs that have qualified for the quarter-finals of the 2023-24 Champions League, which begin on Tuesday 09/04/2024, will each receive a minimum of €73m from UEFA for their participation in the competition. This amount does not include the €300.3m divided between the 32 clubs in the group stage according to the size of the television market ("market pool") in each country, nor of course the matchday revenues generated by the fixtures.

While Arsenal FC (Premier League) will receive €73m in the event of elimination against FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) are already guaranteed €89m (see table below). The Spanish club is ahead of Bayern Munich (€86m) and Manchester City FC (Premier League, €85.6m).

UEFA is paying €2.002bn to the 32 clubs that took part in the group stage. Of this total, 25% (participation bonuses), or €500.5m, is divided equally between the 32 participants.
