Brazil: Crefisa (credit card) to be shirt sponsor of Palmeiras in 2015 and 2016

Crefisa, a Brazilian credit card company, has become the shirt sponsor of Palmeiras (Brazilian Serie A) for the 2015 and 2016 seasons, announced the Sao Paulo club on 22/01/2015. The brand's logo will also appear on the back of the shirt.

The annual amount of the contract is estimated at 23 million realis (about €7.9m). Crefisa was also negotiating with Sao Paulo FC (Serie A), but chose to turn to rival Palmeiras.

"We were criticised for not having accepted some sponsorship proposals in the last two years, but we chose not to devalue the shirt of Palmeiras. The best offer we received did not reach a third of what we get with Crefisa," said club president Paulo Nobre.
