An average of 7.3 football matches per day were broadcast on TV in the United States in 2014, according to a report published by the specialised website www.giltedgesoccer.com on 22/01/2014. At least one football match from around the world -- covering 79 different leagues and tournaments -- was broadcast on TV in the U.S. in 337 out of 365 days of the year.

34 different channels broadcast football matches on TV in the U.S. in 2014, with 43.4% of matches broadcast in English, 35.4% in Spanish, and 21.1% simultaneously broadcast in both languages at the same time on separate channels. The Barclays Premier League was the most featured championship with 380 matches broadcast in the U.S. in 2014, followed by MLS (Major League Soccer, USA-CAN) with 367 matches, Liga MX (MEX) with 304, and then Liga BBVA with 227.
